Aleta Roundtree Mathis
How it all started
Aleta Roundtree was born and raised in Jonesboro, Ga. She is a life coach, a minister, a former radio personality of WIGO 1570 AM, a community and certified mental health advocate, an author, a speaker and podcast hostess of her show Ready Set Grow. Her high energy and thought -provoking messages empower others to take action in their lives for the better. Shining light on her past as a teenage mother, a high school dropout, and a domestic violence survivor motivated her to become a change agent. Her passionate topic areas are community issues, mental health, spirituality and advocacy.
After years of struggles being a bad teen and living the fast life of a young adult, she decided that she wanted change for the better. She pursued and obtained her GED as a young adult which later led her to further her career at Point University. Aleta is an Alumna with an Associate of Arts in Christian Ministry, a Bachelor of Science in Human Relations and a current student at Liberty University for her Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She is recognized as a mental health advocate by the American Association of Christian Counselors. She is a graduate of the United States Institute of Diplomacy and Human Rights where she obtained certification as a Human Rights Consultant. She has a vast history of over 20 years in the medical field and 5 years of leadership in the mental health field.
Aleta is an active community trailblazer with strong leadership, CEO and Founder of Ready Set Grow Coaching and Consulting LLC, Founder of Aleta Roundtree Ministries and Founder and Executive Director for Ready Set Grow Foundation, Inc. a 501(c)3 non-profit providing academic and life coaching services to at risk youth. She is Co- Author of Glambitious Guide to being a Mompreneur and a mentor of young girls and women. She is a previous speaker for teen dating violence in the Fayette County school system and served as a facilitator for The Promise Place- a non-profit organization for victims of domestic violence. Her role as National Press Secretary for New Order National Human Rights Organization led her into the Field Advocate role where she became the voice for the voiceless. After intervening and advocating on a case of police misconduct, Aleta gained global attention on Pushing Black, WSB-TV and Metro Atlanta Black News, Ledger Enquirer, The News & Observer, Idaho Statesman, Upstract, WSB Cox Article, The Charlotte Observer and Sun Herald, The Olympian, The Island Packet, Kansas City Star and Miami Herald news articles.
She was a past guest on 108.9 and Hits 92.3 Atlanta addressing the issues plaguing youth in society, community issues, faith and world events. Aleta was chosen as winner of The Best of Newnan Award in 2020 acknowledging her gift of leadership and speaking. Her events, workshops, podcasts, open discussion forums and panels gives insight on real life situations. She brings order and provides solutions to improve the lives of people, the workplace and the community.​
